In order to enhance the new ISOs 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 versions, MYTCL offered ISO system management training to MYTCL employees across all departments within the organization. ISO officers and supervisors studied two categories of Internal Auditor Training and the Train the Trainer Course as lectured by Daw Catherine Soe Soe Aung, Lead auditor and Principle Consultant of Green EHSS Consultancy Co.,Ltd. It was held at the QHSE training room 8:00 am to 17:00pm from January, 22nd, 2018 to January, 31st, 2018.
47 employees attended the Internal Auditor Training and 34 employees for Train the Trainer course. MYTCL plans to continually improve the understanding of all ISOs utilized within the organization, including OHSAS 18001, which will be changed from the British Standard to an ISO named 45001, estimated to be finalized in March of 2018.
3-4 times per year the Internal Auditors are set into action to review the systems and the adherence to the IMS - Integrated Management System that combines the 3 certifications into a unified business Management body. Twice per year this system is audited by external 3rd Parties to ensure continual improvement, Top Management engagement and that the systems are in place to strengthen every aspect of the mine's operations. Outside of the certified ISO and OHSAS, MYTCL also includes the Risk Management Guidelines ISO 31000:2018, and Stakeholder Engagement guidelines ISO 26000:2010. The addition of these 2 ISO allows MYTCL to develop a practical system of risk in every aspect of not only the operations and safety management, but also on how to consult and integrate transparency with the impacted parties and communities of the region.
