CSR & Community Donations

monasteryhall 01Thaedawgyi Village is found just south of the Yama Stream and on the north-western tip of the S&K project and it is beautiful small village. In comparison to the other 17 villages surrounding the Sabetaung and Kyisintaung mine site, Thaedawgyi composes a smaller village that is an indirectly impacted village due to the location, as well as the distance of the mining activities. To do the village requests, the CSR committee has planned to construct the monastery hall in village monastery compound.

This was to provide a water purifier for their village using the contingency budget from the remaining funds of the annual CSR/CSD budget from 2019. The village did not have enough within their existing budget to fund this donation, so they approached the regional authorities who stated that MYTCL should donate this facility through the annual budgets.

ibc and hdpe 01The villages surrounding the MYTCL Mine Site make many requests every year such as firewood, IBC containers and fuel. IBC containers are commonly requested for water storage purposes from the surrounding villages and monastic sites.
