Special Medical Outreach

Due to the sudden flooding of the Yama Stream and the Chindwin River, the Banenwechaung Village is annually flooded by the confluence of these 2 water bodies during the Monsoon Season.

To ensure that the village is not stricken with disease due to the river water, and the increase in bacteria and rubbish being deposited through the villages by the swollen river banks, the MYTCL Mobile Medical Team makes special visits to villages typically not on their route of regular maintenance.

The Village Administrator of Banenwechaung called on the MYTCL Management to assist in their time of concerns and a total of 104 persons were assisted within the village. No direct issues due to flooding have been recorded by doctors and nurses of the Mobile Team.
