The 2015-16 year of Corporate Social Responsibility Programs began with what may be considered the most important, and perhaps even the most influencial when striving to enhance the commuities of the MYTCL region. The Scholarship Program was granted to more than 803 college and grade-11 students from the 16 villages within the region of the Myanmar No.1 Copper Mine of the Sabetaung & Kyisintaung Project. An official ceremony was held in both the Salingyi Township Government Offices, and the Yinmarbin Township during July to launch the programs of both MYTCL and MWMCL.
U Thar Aye, Chief Minister of the Sagaing Regional Government proudly attended the ceremony. Public Relations, CSD officers, Senior Staff and the CSD Team Members composed of community electees were present at the event to personally deliver the donations to students attending the ceremonies. In 2015, A total of 66.7 million Kyats was put into the scholarship program, which is part of the company's community and social development (CSD) projects aimed at improving living conditions of local people by elevating the education opportunities of students in order to reach higher levels of employment.
