maharpahtan 1Mahar Pahtan Recitation is religious ceremony and is usually held in March, called Tabaung (in the final month of the Myanmar calendar).

The 31st Maha Pahtan recitation Ceremony opened in the Mine Town Nawart Hall from (24.3.2019) to (30.3.2019). The Buddhist monks from MYTCL's surrounding monasteries participated in this event, and participants recited the Maha Pahtan for 24 hours for a total of 7 days ceaseless chanting. The Mine Town employees and their families donated food for breakfast and lunch for all the monks. 40 monks joined in this event, and it is a special honour to be invited to participate in the blessing of good fortune and luck from the gods.
